Meeeting times setup in the calender view

Is there a way to set up times with the start time irrespective of the duration of the meeting? for example, I wanted to set up a 90 minute meeting with options to start at 9:00, 9:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00 AM. Current process does not allow me to do that with the graphics that shows up. I can only set up first option at 9:00 AM and the next one has to be 10:30 AM or 11:00 AM. Other options are not possible. Is there a list view where we can set the times as we want.

If I remember correctly, this used to be the way calendar view worked before about a month ago. The workaround I've found is to select the time slot options "backwards", from latest to earliest time. This allows the time slots to overlap by any duration that is a multiple of 15 min. I wish I could just click and drag, as before...

This would be incredibly helpful when you need to know availability between 8am and noon for an hour long meeting, as an example, and something I need often.
